LFPA

The Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program (LFPA) was authorized as part of the American Rescue Plan and the Commodity Credit Corporation, to maintain and improve food and agricultural supply chain resiliency.  Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries (ADAI) was awarded the grant for the state of Alabama.  ADAI purchases foods to support local, regional, and underserved producers.  Feeding Alabama received a sub-award from ADAI for the purpose of receiving, tracking and distributing locally grown foods to underserved communities throughout Alabama.
