Disaster Response
It is the goal of Feeding Alabama in coordination with the support of our membership, Feeding America, and other relief organizations, to work cooperatively as a conduit for meeting the feeding needs of Alabamians during times of disaster. Through our membership with the ALVOAD, we are connected to a wide group of organizations working to respond to disasters here in Alabama.
Alabama deals with a variety of disasters including flooding, tornadoes, straight line winds and severe winter weather. These can occur anywhere in the state, often with little advance notice. Being prepared and having a plan is critical.
